Include the completed form and a check with your HTT entry and you'll get the member's discount for HTT. Who• Veteran ultra runners ONLY! If I do not know you, proof of worthiness is required. This is NOT a good first ultra due to the potentially extreme heat. Why? See WEATHER below.• NO BANDITS NO PACER. • No dogs allowed on course (sorry, but leashes are a hazard on loop courses). • Limited to 50 runners. AwardsOverall male & female. Aid• One fully stocked aid station at start/finish. Included will be darn near everything you need: wide variety of sweet and salty foods, sports drink, water & lots of ice. Runner-heckling volunteers included at no extra charge. WeatherAt the Hot To Trot 8 Hour Race, CountingThanks to 2008 winner Eric Schotz*, we'll be using a new program to count laps. I'll not guarantee that we won't make mistakes, but we're getting better! Numbers MUST be worn on front or counters will not be able to count you! Details provided at MANDATORY runner meeting race morning immediately prior to start. It is each runner’s responsibility to make sure each lap is counted. Here are a few: About the Clyde Shepherd Nature PreserveThe 2009 Hot to Trot is again proud to be a fundraiser for the Clyde Shepherd Nature Preserve. Formerly South Peachtree Creek Nature Preserve, CSNP is located in the Medlock Park neighborhood of DeKalb County. The entrance is located at the intersection of Wood Trail Lane and Pine Bluff Road. The 28-acre nature preserve opened in 1995 under the management of South Peachtree Creek Nature Preserves, Inc., (SPCNP) a non-profit, neighborhood organization with the goal of preserving natural spaces in the South Peachtree Creek watershed. SPCNP Inc. maintains the property for the protection of wildlife and the enjoyment of our neighbors and other visitors. The vision of South Peachtree Creek Nature Preserves, Inc. is to create and preserve a healthy ecosystem which supports a diversity of wildlife and plants, and which provides a model setting for both community enhancement and education.
